SAM.gov Registration

The System for Award Management (SAM.gov) is the official government system where all entities must register to do business with the federal government. It’s required for getting paid, bidding on federal contracts, and being visible in many federal databases.

The Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) is the database that Primes and federal buyers use to find small businesses. It pulls basic data from SAM, but also allows you to add keywords, capabilities, and differentiators.

Most companies fill this out once and forget it — or worse, leave it blank.

What’s Included:

  • Filling in or optimizing keywords, capabilities narrative, and differentiators
  • Making sure certifications (8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, HUBZone) are displayed correctly

Capability Statement

A one- to two-page marketing document that communicates your company's core competencies, differentiators, past performance, certifications, and key data (UEI, CAGE, NAICS, etc.).
